The Quality Standards Framework:
Elevating standards and driving continuous improvement in Technology Enabled Care
The Quality Standards Framework (QSF) is a set of outcome-based standards that supports organisations providing TEC products and services, based on the principles of Quality, Safety, Innovation and Continuous Improvement. With greater use of TEC services and digital solutions by service users, carers and families, the need for quality has become a "must have" in keeping people safe. The scheme is run by the independent TEC Quality and is the only UKAS accredited scheme for technology enabled care in the UK.
If you provide technology enabled care and its service delivery, being certified with the QSF will help you embed quality into your organisation, mitigating risk to your service and product users. Modules within the scheme can help with delivering service transformation, workforce development and serves as a business “healthcheck”. You can use the scheme to strengthen governance and develop a service that is more personalised, proactive and preventative in its offer.
Your quality journey begins with the
10 Common Standards, the bedrock to quality and safe delivery of service, based on ethics and outcomes for the service user. Integrated service delivery and partnership working in health and social care means that the 10 Common Standards applies equally to both
TEC suppliers
and service providers
with modules covering
Business Continuity, User and Carer Experience / Safety, Workforce, Effectiveness of Service, Information Governance, Partnership Working and Integrated Service, Performance and Contract Management, Continuous Improvement and Innovation, Ethics.
Don't take our word for it, hear what others are saying about the impact of QSF on their organisations and their experience being part of the framework.

As services in social care become more integrated, we see evidence of commissioners linking telecare and technology enabled care services to community equipment needs in order to provide that 'whole service' and to enhance care packages.
